AI sessions
Use this page to understand AI session navigation, counters, step panels, and issue filtering.
Choose the right workspace context
Section titled “Choose the right workspace context”Your selected organization setting affects what data is shown.
- Positive value: dedicated organization workspace.
- Zero: personal workspace only.
- Negative value: personal workspace with linked organization context.
When linked context is active, you still work in personal mode, while linked organization data can be used for member and project preloading.
Session list and counters
Section titled “Session list and counters”Session rows can show creator context and workload state at a glance.
- Creator avatar is shown for each session.
- Badges can indicate remaining work in that session.
- Session rows can also show a compact progress bar beside remaining-work information so you can judge completion without opening details.
- Counters summarize session issue state (for example not started, started, canceled, finished, and remaining to do).
- Counter values can be colorized by state (
Not started,ToDo,Finished) when values are above zero. - Sessions are split into
Unresolved sessionsandResolved sessionsgroups. - You can expand/collapse each group and load additional batches as needed.
- Main-list filtering applies across all visible session groups, including individually loaded and latest-session sections.
- Group counters are shown consistently across all session list sections.
- When a session moves from unresolved to resolved, Aisman updates that session row without shifting unrelated neighboring rows.
- Transitioned issues are treated as resolved in session counters and progress summaries.
Use these counters as your first triage signal before opening details.
Work faster with step tabs
Section titled “Work faster with step tabs”Step cards can include tabs such as Description, Outcomes, Session step issues, and Original input text.
- Description is for the summarized step description.
- Original input text is for the original prompt/input captured for that step.
- In Session step issues, items created in that step can show a fixed-width
Newmarker so rows stay aligned even when only some items are newly created.
Open the same tab across all visible cards
Section titled “Open the same tab across all visible cards”- Action: Ctrl+click a tab in one card.
- Result: The same tab is selected in all visible cards.
Focus the main list on one card
Section titled “Focus the main list on one card”- Action: Alt+click the generated-items tab.
- Result: The main list is filtered to entries from that card.
Tip: Session step tabs include tooltips for these shortcuts so you can apply them without memorizing key combos.
Open issues directly from session views
Section titled “Open issues directly from session views”- Clicking an issue in session issue lists opens the issue in the main Issues area.
- The issue can be selected/scrolled into view automatically so you can continue work without manual searching.
- If the issue is not currently loaded, Aisman can add it to
Individually loaded(orResolved issueswhen applicable) before opening it. - If you click an item manually and that click causes lazy loading, Aisman keeps navigation in-place and avoids forced auto-scroll jumps.
- When the selected target exists only in a collapsed group, Aisman expands that group and reveals the selected row.
Unresolved-only filters and badges
Section titled “Unresolved-only filters and badges”- Session-level and step-level issue tabs support
show only unresolvedfiltering. - When unresolved-only mode is enabled, badges can split into unresolved and resolved counts so you can still see hidden completed volume.
- Badge tooltips change with the current filter mode to make count meaning explicit.
- Ctrl+click on a step unresolved checkbox propagates that checkbox state to newly expanded steps.
- Ctrl+Shift+click applies only to the current step, so you can override one step without changing the propagated default.
- When you toggle unresolved-only from a step context, Aisman auto-selects the matching issues tab so you immediately see the filtered result.
Filter the Issues tab from session tabs
Section titled “Filter the Issues tab from session tabs”- Session-level and step-level issue tabs include a filter icon.
- Selecting that icon opens the main Issues tab filtered to exactly the items currently visible in that tab.
- If unresolved-only mode is on, the filter contains only unresolved issues from that context.
- The inline filter notice supports both
Cancel(stay on Issues) andBack(clear filter and return to AI sessions).
Processing and removed issue behavior
Section titled “Processing and removed issue behavior”- Issues currently involved in active processing can show
Processing...state in lists, and edits can be guarded until processing completes. - Removed issues are excluded from unresolved/resolved totals and progress calculations in session views.
- Removed issues can still be opened explicitly (for example through individually loaded navigation) without returning to normal unresolved queues.
- Canceling an active processing run clears related
Processing...labels and unlocks affected rows across session and workflow lists.
Open session context from step links
Section titled “Open session context from step links”- You can open a session from session-level entries.
- You can also open and focus a specific step from step-level entries.
- When available, this takes you directly to the selected session and step context instead of requiring manual re-navigation.
- After a project switch, the session bar hydrates the real session title as soon as the loaded session details arrive instead of keeping a generic loading label.
- After Workflow Step 4 finishes a tracker and returns you to Step 1, Aisman can reselect the completed session and focus the first issue from the latest step.
Original input text
Section titled “Original input text”When a step was generated from a story, the Original input text tab includes a Show in stories... link below the text. Use it to jump back to the related story without searching for it manually.
Understand session status
Section titled “Understand session status”Session views can show whether a step has been processed, is still pending, or was created directly in the coding agent. Use the session list and the step cards together to follow the full history of work.
When step counts or issue statuses change from other tabs, session counters and step badges are synchronized so the session view stays current.
Add and filter issues in a session
Section titled “Add and filter issues in a session”Use Add issues mode when you want to curate a session scope.
- Add issues mode shows selection controls across relevant lists.
- Add issues mode includes quick actions such as
Select all unresolvedandDeselect all. - Filter in Issues narrows the main issues list to issues that belong to the selected session.
- Session and step issue tabs are designed to support quick switching between planning and execution.
In consolidation session workflows, resolved issues are guarded to prevent accidental re-addition.
Session issue rows and session-step issue rows use unified rendering, including issue-type icon display, so visual cues stay consistent across panels.
If you open a specific session from another tab and it is not in the currently loaded list, Aisman can load and insert it individually so you can continue immediately.
Latest lists behavior
Section titled “Latest lists behavior”Latest sessionsis visible on tab load and not only after selecting an item.- Latest lists include stored MRU items regardless of resolved/unresolved status.
- Once list data is loaded for the current project, MRU rendering reuses loaded data instead of forcing repeated summary-only reloads.
- Step expand/collapse state and selected step sub-tabs are restored when you return to a previously opened session.
- The AI sessions toolbar includes a
special sessions onlytoggle to quickly narrow the list to non-normal session types.
Latest processed session shortcut
Section titled “Latest processed session shortcut”- Press
Lin AI sessions to select the most recently processed session. - The same
Lbehavior is available in Workflow Step 1.
If context becomes stale
Section titled “If context becomes stale”If linked organization membership is no longer valid, the app falls back to personal-only behavior.
